We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Planner to join our team on a full-time, site-based basis at Hinkley Point C. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the planning and successful delivery of one of the most significant nuclear new-build projects in Europe.
Working within a dynamic project environment, you will lead the planning activities for HVAC works, ensuring robust schedules are developed, maintained, and communicated to support project delivery.
Our client is offering Inside IR35 12 Month Contracts + Extensions or Permanent Contracts for the HVAC Lead Planner position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and scheduling of HVAC installation and commissioning activities.
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes using Primavera P6.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure accurate planning and programme integration.
- Monitor project progress, identify schedule risks, and propose mitigation and recovery plans.
- Produce regular progress reports, dashboards, and programme updates for internal and client stakeholders.
- Analyse critical path activities and provide planning expertise to support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment across project interfaces.
- Support change management processes, including programme impact assessments.
- Mentor and provide guidance to planners within the project team where appropriate.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure planning activities align with project and regulatory requirements.
About You
We're looking for an organised, proactive planning professional with excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
You will ideally have:
- Significant planning experience within major construction, engineering, energy, nuclear, or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrable experience planning HVAC installation works on complex projects.
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Strong understanding of project controls and earned value principles.
- Experience analysing programme performance and identifying schedule improvements.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
- A methodical, analytical, and solutions-focused mindset.
Desirable
- Previous experience working on nuclear projects or within highly regulated industries.
- Knowledge of NEC contracts.
- Engineering or construction-related qualification.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (APM, CIOB, or similar).

Location
This is a full-time, onsite position based at Hinkley Point C, Somerset. Due to the nature of the project, regular site attendance is essential.
